today was an exception.meaning. while it was the norm to come on time for assembly for most students. it was an exception for me. because being on time for lessons was the norm. it was one day out of prolly 3 weeks that i've managed to come on time for assembly.=) on top of that. i came in a sarong kebaya. or to be specific. a nonya kebaya cos it was racial harmony day. lovely as it may sound, it was a little embarassing, not because of the revealing top and the sarong bottom, but bcos it was a clash of peranakan colours. thats right. purple on top, and green below. not that it was hideous. but well, it wasnt your usual type of matching clothing yeah. haha. turned heads too. but prolly for the oddest of reasons! had quite some difficulty walking about in it at first, cos i had to take unusually small steps , though with little grace. *blushes*. well i've gotta admit, the attire today made me kinda self conscious and i realised that i've really gotta brush up on elegance and much of sophistication. definitely. the peranakans of the past were of much charm and beauty becos of their elegance and grace. needless to say, i displayed neither of the two. but at least i tried. and im sure that i will continue to try to take small steps when i walk, and sit down carefully etc. hee hee.=)
