Thursday, January 12, 2006 ( a series of many many events! @ Thursday, January 12, 2006 ) went to macau in early dec...beautiful place..but mostly casinos..and i caught a cold there..i guess..cos it was freezing temperatures..then..went to hongkong..which i really looked forward to..especially to shop and eat...not so much of shopping since i already had anticipated the winter wear..so it was mostly for the food..wow! when i reached there, it was really exciting walking along nathan road since it was really similar to orchard road here.....the food..oh well..the food was really good..esp for those more expensive type restaurants..but hey, it was definitely worth it. i remember..we ordered 2 doughsticks aka yeo char kway, for breakfast in one of the restaurants, and guess what, each doughstick was about 4 bucks sing!!!my mom nearly fainted. so did i.haha.. well..after the 4 days in hongkong, i became really sick and tired of the food. everyday dim sum arh, lai tong( soup), noodles..century egg porridge. aiyoh. sian diao. especially when dim sum was supposed to be my favourite. on the contrary, the best dim sum i've tasted was the one in los angeles. i wonder why. haha. so well, their clothes were pretty interesting. i guess the hongkongers really dress well, and they set a fashion trend that is very much ahead of that in singapore. but luckily it wasnt really my style, or else, i'd come back over baggaged. ha! so...after dreading the hongkong scene, we decided to head back to macau for a gamble. since i won 300+ at roulette during the first stay. unfortunately, there was no more beginners luck. for i lost about half of my winnings that day. haha. i guess, its really shi du jiu shu= 9 out of 10 gamblers lose. and my parents kept reminding me that i should not gamble in the IR when it comes up, cos many people actually gamble their familes, homes, and clothes away. sigh.so dumb huh. but i guess they just cant bear to lose.overall, the trip was a great experience, where i felt so much the need to look after my parents wherever they went. pretty stressful,nonetheless, portugese guys in macau are "whoo!" haha. then the whole hols was spent cleaning up my house..preparing for the party i sorta hoped would turn out well..it was the end of year party to welcome the new year, especially since i'd be moving out of this 13-14 year old house by the end of this year. so well, instead of house warming, it was house cooling! haha. duh. so yeah. clean clean clean, pack pack pack, and being a good girl at home, sleeping, watching tv. and then it was followed by working over the weekdays and weekends. but hey. i fell sick again. caught a virus. think its from one of the kids when i was working at sengkang compasspoint. was sellling the furby , playfulpup, and the idog. and you know. when the kids go like " HEY FURBY!!" to the furball, and when i pick it up, or i talk close to them, all their fuzzy saliva droplets obviously go into my lungs lah . so thats how i kena. i guess.haha. sigh. and my phone sucks. this is the 3rd phone i've changed in a year lah! come on man. and it seems like good condition. so maybe its starhub that sucks. hey no wait. its not a maybe, i think starhub really sucks lah compared to singtel. why did i give my singtel to my bro . hai. eitherway, i was uncontactable during the hols since lousy phone and no net, makes shawn a stay home girl. yeah. basically i did not receive most of my messages, or even received it 2 weeks later. alot of calls did not come through. hey.crap rite. yar. i know you know we all know. sickening lah. so for those of you who are feeling really rich arh, pls hor,get me a new phone. sobz. haha hmm..so well, missed out on tabletennis practices, swimmings, other comm meetings. so this month, time to pia on my commitments and responsibilities. jia you arh!! so just finished (sort of) moving back to hall, stocking up on food supplies, although my room is still in a mess, but at least it looks like a sleepable place. hehe. so many things to do. like balloting for tutorials. commitments. oh, and swimming competition is this wednesday, sigh, hope the cold weather will turn hot and i can swim like siao man.haha. oh yar. still must complete my driving lessons, and test before march sia. after that is exams then flying off to usa liao. wahhh. okay. rush rush rush. sigh. miss dancing so much. but no time to take up those extra courses. learning meditation now. really cool. still at the really really beginner level. but i've gained alot of insight about cosmic knowledge and that of love, faith and light. taking it to a spiritual level for i am god. god . god. and we and the universe are one. and as i end off here, may all beings be well and happy....
