Monday, May 15, 2006 ( one week! @ Monday, May 15, 2006 ) so its about 7.45 pm now. just finished my third day of work. really tiring now its starting to get( talks like yoda). haha.well my job scope is pretty crappy bcos i do like garbage, which i dont even get to do in singapore so its really good training. and i get to keep children off the rocks. see happy pple around the park, upset pple too, babes and hunks, old foggies who are really nice, like Al my colleague who pretended to be a stutterer. then there are the nice minors like Jesse aka JT and elvis. there's Angel who's like "ya-dont-try-to- mess- with- me " kinda attitude, and Deleon with his funny "ah huh huh" laughter, and my trainer Debbie who's like this gah gah mommy. things here are really still expensive. and just yesterday i called home to wish my mom happy mother's day. told her i could only speak for a minute bcos each minute on my cellphone cost about 1.60 Us which is about..2++ bucks singapore. omg. we ended up talking for 8 min. i miss my papa and momma but hey! thats like 13 bucks US for 8 min of fone call. like heLLO!? but well its alrite, my momma says she'll reimburse. haha. miss everyone back home, family, friends and my darling dear dear. but hey, life here keeps me bz so it doesnt feel that bad.:) i sat on the ride called the Journey to Atlantis. its like this really steep ride. fun!! but scary! cos i've got this huge phobia of heights. and bcos of that, i started leaning to one side, and so my neck twisted back to its old injury again. sigh. this sucks. i wan my singseh to help me twist back leh....haha.the doc here is damn ex. im sure the chiropractors are prolly more costly too. and guess what? yesterday and today, i met lotsa thai colleagues. then i started practising my thai with them. haha. they were appalled. but hey, still not good enuff though, some of them were learning mandarin too. they're really friendly (most of them at least). the filipinos too. as for the locals, there are a few racists still i believe, but most of the pple ive seen around the park are still quite friendly and the "hey hey yo yo" kinda american. what i mean is, they seeya and they say " hi how are you" . its like the standard line here where they prolly might not mean to ask you how are you really doing, but rather as a hi! kinda thing. and everyone is so friendly here its hard to just not talk rubbish to them. like today, i saw this guest who was wearing a shirt that said " I do the things that my wife's mind tells me to do". haha. and i told him " HEY! i like your shirt!" and he goes like "thank you!" its really funny. pple here talk funny. its like the blacks go with the funny "ah-huh" kinda accent . like there was one who asked my fren " you mean you've never beenta fun spot(which sounded like fun spart).". they are mostly quite friendly that they just go around talking to you about how they feel or what they wanna say. there just aint no limit right here. and pple here keep drinking soda. there are so many huge pple. but hey they seem to be enjoying life its cool man. its a really slightly laid back and more relaxed life here. maybe bcos orlando is a more tourisy area. i guess. everyday is almost pretty much the same. im working in operations anyway. and im looking forward to work extra hours in the food dept though bcos it looks fun. i bought like this icecream just the other day. their one scoop is like 3BIG SCOOPS!yup. thats right. i could only finish half and after that, my cookies n cream ice cream just started losing its taste and just tasted like sweet cream. the bunch of singaporeans who stay here with us , that is coming from the same batch as me, they're mostly really nice and enthu. some really with this burstful personality, very helpful, and nice. we're prolly the smallest group of international students here but hey, i guess we will be more bonded!HA! we have like little gatherings once in a while where we meet with food and cook and talk and play. cool.heh oh well, its just only one week, so life is still quite exciting for me now and im still pretty bubbly and excited every morning cos its really a very interesting experience. something i enjoy bcos i can see how some of the locals dont really take pride in their job while i really enjoy it here.haha. alrite, the next time my net works, i will be right here again! seeya in a bit!:)) Ingenue-Inspired.Intrigued.Ineffable affection. 0 comments |
