( life is better than ever, and too good to be true! @ Sunday, June 22, 2008 )

after a really cheap dim sum buffet at the banyan tree hotel in bkk today.. I headed down to Siam to meet Korn to go to Chatuchak (JJ). Then i understood from P' Liz that Korn refers to the right hand but in Royal language. Anyhow, Korn was the perfect host and has left such a great impression in my heart. His english is almost perfect and he really served as a great guide..ensuring that my tea was just nice in terms of sweetness..helping me bargain..deciding which clothes were nice and not..concerned about my shoes! Thai pple are really so warm and nice n caring. too good to be true for the average singaporean..but sigh. i could never receive more warmth and care from thai pple ever, especially since im in their home town. even lunch was sponsored by P Liz. and dinner too. then the after dinner drinks at an English pub with her and P Pom. drinks in cluded a Blue Margarita which was delicious! and a Pina Colada which was So-so. and then a dry martini.
and now im home just chilling out in my room, watching tv and blogging at the same time. keeping the memories as i reflect on the day..
speaking of reflection.. theres a few idioms that i learnt over today n yesterday..here goes..

1) taak naam say kallok, chengok duu ngao= to put water in the coconut shell, and try to look at one's reflection. this idiom is usually used to refer to people who think that they look really good, and you tell them this idiom to look at themselves again! or to tell them..pls , do you even own a mirror??

2)tam naam prik, la laay m33 naam= to pour the chilli into the river. i.e to say, to do something that is not of any use to the situation.

3) kay hen ..thaaw nguu, nguu hen nom kay = the chicken sees the legs of the snake, and the snake sees the chicken breasts. which means something like..something underhand/ under the table that only the small party who is involved know about..

these idioms really make me laugh for its just so cute.. ah wells:) im meeting brian, kay, brandon, del, and her parents tomorrow!!:) cant wait!!:)

great days shall be remembered, as today is:)
Ingenue-Inspired.Intrigued.Ineffable affection.
